I got it in gen 4. I remember I actually decided to kill the magikarp at lake of rage for some reason, and afterwards noticed I had it. I told everyone and then gave it to my brother.

I doubt we'll be seeing Pokerus anytime soon, if at all. I personally think the devs didn't want anything related to the "China Cough" in the games, so that's why it's not in the modern games.
But still, I'd love to see it back in Gen 10. I think it's been long enough, don't you?

Pokerus doesn't have a reason to exist anymore.
You can just dope your team with anabolics and get the same result.
Before SwSh there was a limit for that.

It was kind of redundant anyway.
