>>57423952LZA is a singleplayer title that won't be the focal point of VGC, which will remain with SWSH until 2027. LZA won't release until November 21st, which is quite a ways from now, because they can't go two years without having a Pokemon game occupy the "week before Black Friday" sweet spot, ESPECIALLY not when they can promote it as an "also playable on Switch 2!" budget title so mommy can save ten dollars when picking out games for Timmy's Mario Kart 9 Switch 2 Bundle.
But if you mean to implicate that they're going to release Gen 10 this year, instead of waiting until 2026 for the 30th anniversary, you're an utter fool.
They specifically kneecapped Gen 6 so Gen 7 could launch on Pokemon's 20th anniversary, and Gen 4 was delayed under the veil of "still working on the gameplay" so it could make its JPN launch on Pokemon's 10th anniversary.
Gen 10 will be absolutely no different, especially because it can encompass the grand combo of: Being Pokemon's 10th Generation, being Mainline Pokemon's debut on Switch 2, and being Pokemon's 30th anniversary celebration.
But back to "SV is a dead game", not quite. It's done receiving direct updates, yes, but it's going to continue receiving raids, outbreaks and distributions until the beginning of 2027, just like how SWSH continued receiving raids and distributions until the beginning of 2023. In order to refresh your memory, before SV was to hit shelves, SWSH was distributing codes for Shiny Eternatus, Zacian and Zamazenta, in order to give SWSH a sendoff before all gears shifted focus to SV.
They did the same with Alola, having distributions for Shiny Solgaleo, Lunala and the Tapus in 2019, even Necrozma in Japan/Korea only, right before SWSH was to release.
And then before THAT? Shiny Xerneas and Yveltal right as SM was on the horizon.
Late 2026 is almost guaranteed to have similar distributions for Koraidon, Miraidon and the Treasures of Ruin.
SV might be quiet, but it's not fully dead. Learn the patterns, retard.
