>>57451151I'm genuinely surprised he had enough respect for his audience of idiots to swap out Milk Drink for a move Clefable could eventually learn (it gains t in Gen 3 via tutor).
>>57451118>Typholosion and Meganium aren't very good starters gameplay-wiseGSC Typhlosion hard carries and is so good people were gaslit into thinking Feraligatr in Gen 2 sucks. (They pick Typhlosion nuke everything, use Gyarados as their water type and don't even bother picking Feraligator to realize how cracked it is). and Meganium is underrated because people don't play to its strength as a supporter.
HGSS Typhlosion doesn;t really need much acide from Fire move + Choice item do to deal with most things.
if talking about comp, that because Johto starters stopped getting nice things after Gen 4 while every other starter is either constantly buffed, Kanto and Hoenn or made broken on release. The only reason Gatr survived powercreep is because water is such a broken type, and water types in general get so much favoritism that its impossible for a Water starter to be a shitmon.
>Team Rocket are uninteresting pushovers with barely any presence in the story outside of being mildly annoyingiirc HGSS added a lot more Rocket into the game
>making balls out of apricots is too inconvenient for how situational they areits a bit annoying but its just waiting one day, and Crystal onwards lets you give him multiples of the same apricorn
>good TMs are all locked behind postgame Kantounderstandable complaint but the power level and enemies move sets are made with this in mind, hence that meme comparing Johto to Sinnoh.,
>you can lose £1000 just by walking through a gate in Route 43, even though Lance demonstrates that you can logically use your pokemon to threaten your way out of this sort of extortion easilywait seriolsy, never thought about that. Yeah thats annoying
