trubbish are based on dust-bunnies, with features of stray cats, while garbodor is based on the mythical north American gumberoo, with traits of a wild bear, specifically the trope of bears digging through garbage cans!
Its relationship with alolan muk aludes to its gumberoo inspiration, mirroring the relationship between the gumberoo and the timberdoodle!
