Maybe even have a rival who became obsessed with beating you to the point where Eternatus granted it some of it's power too, which will of course inevitably lead to Eternatus betraying them when they fail to defeat you one too many times and/or them realizing they were in the wrong and joining your side against Eternatus.
(They could also just pull a simple excuse like they somehow imported energy from Galar and embedded it into your band or something, that's basically what they did in the Scarlet DLC to explain why you can Terrasteralize in their region, because they hung a giant disco ball in the dome that they pumped full of terra energy from Paldea)
