You can replace the boxart legendaries in SwSh with a legendary sword and shield and not really lose anything. The doomsday monster is probably the only worthwhile Pokemon in that game. The fact Leon's entire personality revolves around Charizard is something that only really relates to our world sentimentality and can be changed with literally any other Pokemon because of how irrelevant it is to the plot. They just used a popular Pokemon to try and force appeal. It's worse in SV, those games are legitimately about bullying, parental neglect, isolationism and Joker arcs. Nemona's the only one who actually cares about actual fucking Pokemon
