Blazekin got a mega but they made sure to complete the trio soon after. Charizard got a gmax, but they made sure to complete the trio soon after. Not starters, but the malarian birds all got regional together, and the legendary beats + swords of justice all got paradoxes equally eventually. I went into yesterday expecting them to use the mons everyone predicted, but now that they went out of their way to include starters from only the regions represented by PLA's starters, it's pretty obvious they want to round out their respective trios and make them all seem equalish.
Of course I could be wrong but fuck it. I'm commenting what SEEMS to be very clear intentionality, which no one can ever know.
