Hope it's good, but I'm sure it'll suck. I wish when battle began, you would be able to just move your pokemon instead of awkwardly dodging with them, but I guess it's not bad

Seems like legends just acts as a series to test new mechanicals for the next mainline gen. I wonder if gen 10 will break away from turn based battling?

There is a circle that moves across the ground from the trainer to the pokemon before it attacks
So that's the "command", meaning attacks aren't instant
I'm betting the speed stat will determine how fast the pokemon reacts to the command

Legends isn't to test mechanics it's to let them actually do different mechanics. mainline will always have the classic battle system as that's what people want.

The Legends games are single player experiences (which goes alongside the fact you can catch all Pokemon on your own, with no trading required), they're to play around with gameplay mechanics that wouldn't work in a competitive multiplayer gameplay style

The normal dual releases are going to keep their normal gameplay style

Related, I hope you can bring out your Pokemon and have them follow you around while you explore. Palworld does this, and today I played a bit of PLA for the first time in ages and I really missed it a lot. It adds a sense of life and personality onto them. Petting and hand-feeding them would be nice too.

I started playing SV again recently due to the trailer even though the game looks like complete shit. As if I needed further proof to how this is all just one humiliation ritual and we're slaves in every sense of the word.

With the synchro mode from scarlet/violet and now this, I have a feeling they are gonna completely move away from turn-based combat for all mainline titles (legends is considered mainline by lamefreak), while that new phone game will be the one sticking to whatever style "competitive" still uses.

They showed the player plus a few NPCs having their partner Pokémon following side-by-side. On another note. Small mons look way bigger than than usual, maybe because hitbox balancing.
