Starters trios are so ingrained that seeing a different three together feels weird, but having just one choice be off is uncanny. Now if there were a running lie about Typhlosion being a rapist pedophile, literally the worst possible thing a character can have associated with them, due to mistranslated scraps from a non-canon myth one dullard wrote 20 year ago that Game Freak stupidly left on their hard drive out of laziness and a hacker stole it and the Pokemon fanbase decide to subject Typhlosion line and its fans to months of abuse for half a year and even conspired to try and get Typhlosion erased from the series, all while letting the writers, Game Freak, the hacker, AI mistranslators, and even other Pokemon who may have had similar stories off the hook, THAT joke would be pure ass. In fact, if such a joke existed, I'd understand your umbrage with OP's mild jab.
But this is Pokemon, a franchise built on the foundations of friendship, fair play, and good will fellow humans and the creatures we share this world with. Such a ""joke"" would never happen because the malcontents would have been gatekept from here. Pokemon fans would NEVER stoop that low,
