>>57502304A few of the spinoff games are also canon due to direct connectivity to the main series. Namely:
>Colosseum: 1996-1997Direct connectivity with the GBA games with no indication of time travel a la GSC's time capsule.
>Ranger: 1999-2000The Manaphy egg is sent directly to Sinnoh with no indication that time has passed when it is received within Diamond & Pearl.
>Gale of Darkness + Shadows of Almia: 2001-2002XD takes place 5 years after Colosseum. The Ranger games have no official timeline, but their release dates are 2 years apart and not enough time seems to have passed with returning characters that it would be more than just a few years.
>Guardian Signs: 2003-2004See previous.
>Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire: Around 2006-2009, in an alternate universeUnlike FRLG and HGSS, which seem to just be expanded retellings of their original games, ORAS are very explicitly stated to take place in a different world from the originals. There are constant references to the state of the Hoenn region as it was in Ruby & Sapphire, usually referred to as "about 10 years ago" in some cases and "about 12 years ago" in others.
>GO: 2016-present, in our universeThis is the world Giovanni fled to at the end of Episode RR. New events and storylines continue being introduced to this day, so GO's timespan will continue to grow until either no more content is added or the game shuts down entirely.
>Let's Go: I have no fucking idea what year this takes place but it's definitely in some kind of alternate universeThis game has too many contradictory plot elements that make it difficult to place on a timeline. Red and Blue have already gone on their journeys, but they did so at a time before the Pokédex existed, and Team Rocket's plots are identical to the original games. Mina appears at an age indicating that the games can't take place more than 6 or so years before SM, but it's possible that SM itself takes place at a different point in this universe too.
