all the info i have, in no specific order
>the game is about collecting data to not only build better habitats for the wild pokemon, but also make artificial mega stones allowing pokemon that didn't get an organic mega stone to mega evolve
>abilities and hold items return
>new legendary linked to artificial mega stones
>themes of ecosystem balance, not overstepping nature
>technically no evil team, just misguided
>az is forced to use the damaged weapon to stop the legendaries from destroy lumios
>this act scatters yet more mega stones across the planet, its implied that all regions will have access to megas going foward
>z-moves and tertiarization are mentioned in story, dynamax isn't
>multiplayer battles were tested, scrapped due to worries with latency
>post-game battle frontier
>acts similarly to the pokemon world tourney in gen 5, bringing back lots of familiar faces
>aprox timeskip from xy is 10 years, returning characters are aged up appropriately
>boss battles, post-game included, are similar to frenzied nobles from pla
>very aggressive, have shorter cooldowns than the player
>story bosses are relatively easy, post-game battle frontier's difficulty ramps up fast
>proper positioning and timing is required to beat some of the higher end battles, bosses will take full advantage of your animation lock
>still no mega flygon
>mega luxray, mega arcanine, mega kalos starters confirmed, there are more but i haven't seen
>starter trio don't mega evolve, but have new regional forms that only come about because of the wild zones
>only a handful of new pokemon, convergent species included, but a LOT of regional forms, all linked to the wild zones
>not called kalosian forms, seem to be ditching <region> <pokemon> and instead naming them based on attributes
>glacial furret is first new form discovered, ice/ground with refrigerate, original design looked too similar to palworlds chillet and was redesigned during development to make it more white than blue
