No retard, one of the good things about past remakes is being able to play through a region with new pokemon even if you have to cheat or trade them in as eggs at the beginning of the game.
LGPE also has Alolan formes. BDSP couldn’t even add the Hisui shit or Sylveon

I know only 5% of the fanbase care for it, but what they did to contests in BDSP was fucking murder and the worst part was the Masuda gave the ok with it. To throw away the main gameplay of it, and instead turn it into a horrible garbage rhythm game.

What would the gen 4 remakes be like if no one complained about Sword and Shield?

Also I really wish the gen 4 remakes came out after gen 6 and that the gen 3 remakes where made after gen 5 just because I really used to like X and Y because it was the first non pixel 3D model pokemon game and Sinnoh was my favourite.

Would people like HG/SS if it couldn't trade/battle with the other gen 4 games, didn't add the Safari Zone, earlier stones, and Primo egg to make certain Pokemon available earlier, added following pokemon that aren't scaled correctly and lag behind, added more bugs than the originals, and had graphics that looked like a shitty Playmobile set?

It needs very little to effectively be a “true upgrade” but as it stands its just disappointing that we got worse platinum overall but better underground.
Cons:
>battle tower with a broader selection of npc allies and bosses is fun
>underground was vastly improved
>more pokemon available than ever thanks to underground including starter pokemon
>massively improved gym battles and elite four battles, especially cynthia
>you no longer need to teach HM moves to use them
>pokemon can follow you around, it looks kind of ugly tho

Cons:
>removed co-op multi battle tower for no reason
>none of the platinum story elements or content including and most especially the battle frontier
>exp share is permanently on, can’t be turned off making the harder gym battles and cynthia boss fight pathetically easy unless you actively avoid trainer battles
>while being able to use hm moves without actually learning them is nice, the game actively ruins the immersion that came from actually using them as now every single time you use one a bidoof comes out of nowhere to help you rather than the more practical idea of having one of your pokemon of your choice use the move instead
>contest are now a simple stat check, they are legitimately and UTTERLY ruined
I’d say the games are worth it if you can tolerate the cons but platinum is simply a better experience still. I actually think its objectively worse than even regular dp just because of exp share and contests but I mean I still had fun with it and it still felt like gen 4

Nothing is an improvement. The graphics actively detract from several moments. A cheap remake cashgrab in the vain of that GTA one a few years back (not quite as terrible though). Even LGPE had more going for it as a remake

the entire community said for 7 years after ORAS "for the love of god if they do Gen 4 remakes they better base it off Platinum and not DP" and then based it directly off DP with 0 Platinum improvements at all. They fucking outsourced it and didn't even give them 2 years of dev time. Platinum ALREADY FIXED all the problems with Gen 4 that aren't HMs and being a little slow, it didn't NEED a remake and certainly not a horrendously half assed one. Gamefreak was atleast smart enough to know there was no need for it but they clearly got forced into it anyway.
