It’s a horror anime and the gore is kind of the point. The plot follows a schoolgirl of course with a bunch of SoL nonsense sprinkled in between.

This is one of the few anime that recreates the atmosphere of classic old-school death metal.
Unfortunately, it has awful modern colors and moe artstyle.
It would be better if it had a darker color palette like in the '90 and sharper edges.

It's an adaptation of a movie turned anime with 2 side mangas, then given to Clamp to make their own anime+movie version.

Clamp went a bit crazy making this, it's not terrible in the normal sense as it borders in the so bad it's funny kind of way.
