In terms of 1 - 5, none unironically. I'm not one of these guys that geinuenly hates these games, or actively highlights the "game breaking" issues each generation possess, but I feel like the first 5 all have something to offer, with a couple of short comings to boot. I'd say the gens that are the closest to being ' the best' would be Hoenn and Unova, but even still, both regions have their issues.
These games have always been flawed to certain extent. They're all great though. Especially when you view them in the prospective of how they innovated on one another.
