yes but he just falls victim to time constraints. ORAS was good and if he had the time to do the battle frontier then no one would complain.
Masuda/Iwao also have clearly struggled in the Switch generation as well with their only saving grace being they didnt need to design a new region, story, characters, pokemon, etc.

I feel like he is more willing to try big changes between games, but he has his own trappings he always falls into. The "evil" team is always just misunderstood, and we keep getting the same friend group of the brown genki rival, the quite girl, and the angry boy. I think Ohmori would be much stronger if he was making a spin-off where he didn't have to have a silent self insert protag. The player doesn't feel like the main character in Ohmori's games, the cast around them does.

Along with a twist villain who may or may not have a team, family issues, an alien legendary Pokémon that created the game's battle gimmick, and meme food.

That would've been the best route. Second best would be that he only directed Sun and Moon and let someone else handle Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet.

On the other hand Iwao also focus on the open world but try to focus more on the catch em all(seems pokemon always was) than story and Morimoto focus more on combat than story(please let him have another game)

I think all the upper brass at GF are jaded and would rather be making other games. Problem is that they're just not good developers and all their other games flop, so they keep churning out Pokemon games because that's what makes them money.
