Why is there so much universal hatred and vitriol for Unova, or any of the Unova games on VP? Like everytime I come on here it seems like everyone (whether it be fans of 1-4 or fans of 6-9) hate gen 5 so much and I never understand why. Even Galar and Paldea don't get as much hate as Unova does. I'm not even a bort and even I have been weirded out by this over decade long hate filled obsession with a fictional region from a children's game. I have genuinely not seen a more autistic obsessive amount of hatred in the Pokemon fandom.

It's always "bort this", "borty that", and everyone that even slightly likes Unova gets bombarded by both extremes of VP.

I get every region and generation has it's flaws, but I haven't seen this much hatred for any region but Unova. So can anyone tell me why you and everyone else hates Unova so much? This isn't a troll post, I am being so genuine and 100% serious when I ask this.
