For me, it would be to revisit three pseudo-regions and make them part of the main games:

Tiksi, connected to the Battle Zone, like the eastern part of Russia

Guyana, corresponding to its real-life counterpart, adding parts of Brazil and Venezuela

Aeos Islands, like Hainan or Paracel islands

Who cares? They all end up looking the same (desert, icy mountain, beach, forest) and 90% of the pokémon are not even related to the country the region is based on.

mongolia. gamefreak wouldn't have any issues with the landscape, and it could have a really unique dex
american frontier/wild west. this would probably have to be a spinoff though, I can't imagine there being an established league. would work as a ranger game though
