>>57564675So why didn't LGPE sell 26m? Why didn't BDSP or L: A sell that much? Much less, how do you explain mid-Gen sales jumping from 6-10m to 15m for the entirety of Switch mid-Gen releases? These people are buying from SOMEWHERE shithead and they patently weren't there iin the handheld days. Fuck, DS sold MORE than Switch, yet two new Gens on Switch sold 52m, while Pokémon on DS could only manage 32m for its new Gens. Because more GAMERS bought Switch than bought DS, soccermoms and girlfriends were all over that thing back in the day (I owned one, there was nothing as a 24 yo to interest me in the line-up outside Pokémon), meaning more people were suddenly re-exposed to the pokémon games they used to play as a child but stopped when they turned teenager and got a "proper" console (because nintendo handhelds, outside Game Boy OG and DS didn't actually sell to the market as readily, the market prefers power and Nintendo prioritise battery life and greatest playtime from their units). There has been about 328m main series games sold in its lifetime, almost one for every person living in the US., small wonder now Nintendo's got a system that people WANT top playt games on and suddenly find that Pokémon had released games for it, the total sales for the series has gone up. Their average is their average, after all.
