>>57573162Sure black and white i just didn't care for the pokemon designs at all. I remember the moment I quit I ran into the pokemon shaped like and ice cream cone and just said "no this is not for me anymore" and then I didn't really play any of the games after it, I grabbed x and y years later and didn't finish it, then I got ultra moon when my gf at the time insisted and also didn't care for it much. Sword though really appealed to me for some reason, nice to see the monsters walking around, I like hown in battle the move descriptions are showed, and I thought the music was neat. I also thought the mons for the generation were basically all above average in terms of visual design (i don't care about power level or competitive pokemon at all). I had a lot of fun completing the dex in it. Thought the raid battles were a neat idea, hated the load times and how slow they were waiting for everyone to select a move though.
Legends arcues I didn't think was all that great but is probably thr most interesting of the switch games (for a game about catching a lot of the same.monster it sure doesn't provide much qol for sorting out the best of a specific species of mon to keep).
I didn't finish violet, I kinds hate open world games so there wasn't much appeal to me, espically since the open world was basically devoid of interesting things. The multiple story lines were an interesting idea but ultimately it makes the pacing weird.
I'm cautiously optimistic for z-a as a game set in a single city would be interesting to see. It's interesting the way they describe the battles makes it seem like a copy to the digimon world battle system in a way.
But yeah I'm more a casual fan than hardcore
