The nuked comments were almost certainly due to the amourshipper finding the magazine early and leaking that article in particular, which cause the magazine to threaten legal action on twitter against the person doing it leaving the anipoke team in a legal bind to where they felt they had to remove it.
So if we're discussing how very mean pokeshippers hurt peoples' feelings over twenty years ago because Scott never let anyone forget it happened, it's worth pointing out how its competition loved to send threats when characters don't dance, or when a character loses a league, or when an episode doesn't bring up their favorite ship.
