Serena, working as a star in the vein of her mentor, Diantha. Alas, Kalos' gym circuit remains less than stellar, leading to trainers looking for a more impressive start trying in other regions for better competition.
Elio and Selene have been battling for the title of Alola champion off and on for years. Currently, Elio has the title, while Selene is training and helping the Aether Foundation with some of their conservation efforts.
Galar's league currently is in a similar space. Victor and Gloria, among others, have been in a constant back and forth fight for the Champion title, with sponsors trying to cajole them into opening gyms of their own to no avail.
And S/V are just in the starting phases, so nothing really has happened with those protagonists.
