Apart from playing the alt version, I don't restart and replay Pokémon games, all have their OG completed files where possible (RIP Gen 1+2 bros and sises) and any associated event Wonder Cards.

Currently replaying Pokemon Black, doing the postgame Plasma sages hunt atm
The only two I don't enjoy replaying are Gen 7 and Gen 2.

Just restarted my main S/V save a few weeks ago to farm WW/IL, last completed replay before that was Ultra Sun shortly before the online service for the 3ds died

One of the nice things about the switch is that you can start a new user profile to start a new game without having to delete your "master save", though the alts profiles won't have access to online

Crystal. I replayed Yellow and Crystal, so now I'm taking a break before I replay Emerald.
After that maybe I'll replay Platinum, but I need A LOT of desire to replay that one. Sorry Gen 4, your gameplay is fun, but you are slow.

I beat sapphire, after beating ruby. (before emerald came out)

I replayed Gen 1 and Gen 2 in the past couple years and am currently replaying Emerald with plans to continue on to Platinum and BW/B2W2. I think I'm going to spend some time on Emerald's post-game and maybe get one or two of my favorite pokemon all the ribbons to trade them up through the rest of the games. Ultimately I'd like to cap off B2W2 by completing the full dex and clearing all the post-game content before moving on to the 3D games which I consider "nu-Pokemon".
Pic related, after having ignored Milotic since it's inception I have fallen in love with it on this current Emerald run.

Ruby, becaus I could create my own competetive endgame.

I think the limit was 8 bases, but I could forget.
Saw no reason to replay any game after gen 3 becaus gen 3 secret base/mix record doesn't exist anymore.
ORAS was just exp farming.
