I guarantee the average person interested in buying any of those never opened shrouded fable/temporal forces/paradox rift/paldea evolved/etc.
In fact, they don't even give a fuck about the chase cards, eeveelutions are popular, but do you think EVERYONE wants it because they're such big eevee fans?
They want it because it's popular/expensive and they don't have it
Pokemon fans embody waste and consumerism, buy a bunch of packs and throw away all the cards they don't want
Would be cheaper to get singles, but they love the rush of opening
They don't care about the cards, they care about shiny cardboard
At its core, the flaw is in how the fans are, they don't care truly care about any of the products, they just want new thing
