>>57598166I RNG manipulated my TID and SID to get a Cute Charm glitch-compatible set, which also gave me Turtwig. Would've chosen a better nature if I had the chance, but the timing was so tight that I just took the first success I got and moved on.
Feebas was caught using the Cute Charm glitch. I also caught a female Combee with it too, so my shiny Vespiquen became my Sweet Scent user. Actually FINDING Feebas was a bitch, as always.
I used my DS, my 3DS XL, and my 2DS XL and copies of Diamond and Pearl to raise my met rate in Platinum in the Underground so Spiritomb would spawn. Then I learned proper static RNG for it because my Cute Charm group only guarantees female shinies, and I didn't want a female Spiritomb.
I caught two Chatot and trained their Chatters to roughly the same pitch, my DS's microphone is shit. Then learned proper wild manipulation and caught the Chatot I actually wanted.
I did the same for Mr. Mime, but he was stubborn and refused to spawn for a while. Was annoying.
Finally Skorupi was a bitch and a half. There's no guarantee it will appear in the Great Marsh on any given day, the binoculars in the lookout can show any Pokemon from the current encounter table and you can't choose which areas they look at, they fucking cost money, and time travel protection will lock in the current table if you try to change the date to swap the spawns or even swap the cart into another system. You can use a formatted DSi to bypass it, but I don't have one and my brother's has old software that he'd rather not see gone so I can't borrow his for this. So the only solution was to wait every day, check the spawns, and if I see no Skorupi then wait until tomorrow and try again. By pure luck I saw it in area 6, so after that it was a cinch to encounter, but then took a few tries to actually catch because >lmao safari zone.
