Of course, when (You) come along and smell nothing like Lostelle, Hypno assumes you must be an unrelated party with bad intentions, and attacks you to protect her so she can remain safe until her dad comes to pick her up.
Plus, Drowzee and Hypno especially love the taste of good dreams, so it would be completely in the Hypno's interests to try and play nice, that way they have a good dream later. They fundamentally have no reason to act malicious because malice creates nightmares later down the line.
If it wasn't for the parents of the Pokemon World being absolutely brutal with scaring their kids into misbehaving, Lostelle probably would've made quick friends with the chucklefuck rather than being buttfucking terrified because she had it beat into her skull that children who act badly and don't listen to their parents get kidnapped and are never seen again.
