why doesn't gf make 2d pokemon games any more? a hd2d game with graphics similar to a game like octopath traveler would be amazing. everyone loved the 2d games so why not return back to what works?

3D Pokémon games should be more like Fable 1 instead of the open plains we got, with the art direction of Ni no Kuni.
Basically, console Pokémon games should be upgrades of what they were experimenting with during the 3DS period.

But I think Game Freak has crossed the point of no return. They will only try to do better if the next three mainline entries all flop.
