>>57642114>Kiki who needs some courage, or Kiki who grows bolder... both are lovely.Very true.
>Whether it's just watching or actually doing something to Kiki, I'll like it. As long as he's mine.An interesting philosophy, but not a disagreeable one.
>with how lore/world building-driven the fantasy genre tends to be, I feel like the characters are overshadowed. That's an interesting take, because, in my experience at least, it doesn't really line up with the fantasy novels I've read in recent years/and how I enjoyed them/how they were enjoyed. In many cases, particularly the Romantasy/Romantasy adjacent ones, most positive reviews seemed to be derived from how the people who read them enjoyed the characters and character dynamics, and such. While praise was given to world building, I personally found it to be at times, absurdly uninspired, hackneyed, and blatantly ripping of irl history, excessively idiotic to the point of breaking SOD or both.
For instance, Their Bright Ascendancy's setting felt much better than The Poppy War's but that wasn't the only thing it had over the latter, since I actually liked the characters and didn't want to bash them over their heads for somehow being less likable and dumber than literal Mao Zedong.>But I can do that anyway if you want someone to check your translations.Well, I'd much rather that you read them out of a genuine desire to do so, not out of obligation...
>but think about it...
Would much rather keep it as a hobby for myself and close friends...>The thought of a character using that line in any kind of serious context is funny in itself, no matter who they are, haha.True, but it's especially funny considering that the woman only has like, a dozen of dialogue period, despite being the title character.
