On top of that, the requirements to interact with the idol meant you'd need to look up a guide, there was no hint or indication there was a chain of interactions to fulfil.

that one useless youtuber blew it up and made it seem bigger than it really was. it was just a dumb fetch quest with a crappy payout (trading yancy/curtis for rare mons)

people that consume that kind of media don't know any better and just assume youtubers have no reason to be misleading about this shit

Have you seen the steps it takes to complete it? The first ten tiles are one thing but afterwards it's getting obnoxious and tedious. It's a shame because they made it a point to make the dialogue with Yancy Semi-dynamic and the Pokémon she trades are decent instead of only route one Pokémon

Lavendere voice over is so perfect on Yancy, I thought it's official at first but it's not. If she can fully voice over Yancy, it will be perfect. She's sound so sweet and I don't know why, I just want to hear more of it. I even play the game because of this video, even though it feel empty without her voice in it.

It's not really much of a dating mechanic, it's more of a side-quest. It doesn't really feel that important and isn't really too relevant to the premise of the series.

You ever see those achievement/trophy statistics where like some pathetically small number of people actually play through the entire game? BW2 sold like 7.5 million copies and of the people who actually bought the game I bet you the vast majority did not get far enough into it to see this part. Most people don't even know about it.

As much as I love my pink haired Pokewaifu, she was very much a 'buy the guide' character. It was kinda cool to see her using whatever information you gave to some random questionaire NPC though.
Too bad that too required you to hunt around and talk to pretty much every NPC. Yancy is mega cute, tfw no Yancy gf.
