It would be like Ash having more than one Charizard back at Oak's lab with one being the plain ole' vanilla Kanto version and the other being the one that mega evolves. The fact that the two have different roles doesn't make it any less awkward since outside of battle, they're the same mons that are now made less special because you just couldn't handle stepping outside your comfort zone to try out something you would have never thought about using in the past. "MUH MAIN! MUH BRO!" fags are part of the problem.
