>X and YProbably one of the easier games. Gives you multiple free Pokémon that happen to be overpowered, trainers with horrible AI and horrible terrible teams. Plus the EXP Share rework just leads to you getting a whole team of massively overleveled Pokémon. Even without it you can very easily get overleveled anyway. Can't think of a single hard battle.
>Omega Ruby and Alpha SapphireDue to being given OP Megas, and EXP. Share, it is a lot easier than the originals, though still considerably harder than XY.
>Sun and Moon.Important have decent AI though it's still really easy.
>Ultra Sun and Ultra MoonIn my honest opinion, it is the hardest game in the series. Totem Araquanid, Lurantis, Togedemaru, Ultra Necrozma and Ribombee are the toughest single mon fights by far. It has EV trained battles with important trainers like Guzma, Hau and Lusamine.
>Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go EeveeAnother contender for the easiest. Game is simplified, has a mode where you can 2v1 any fight and has candies which make your Pokémon broken.
>Sword and ShieldSlightly harder than XY and ORAS. Most Gym Leaders have decent movesets and iirc the later game fights have EVs (starting with Piers). Only fights that were somewhat hard were Nessa, Leon and Mustard.
>Brilliant Diamond and Shining PearlEasier than the original until around Mt. Coronet where it starts to get harder. The E4 and Champion are actually hard here.
>Legends ArceusNot very many trainer battles and most of the ones you do get, are pretty easy. Though the battle system can make some fights hard. Spamming Agile Style to get multiple turns just doesn't work when it comes to sweeping more than two Pokémon in most cases.
>Scarlet and VioletMostly easy. Some decent story mode battles, such as Clavell, Champion Nemona and AI Professor. The Indigo Disk probably has the hardest generic trainers, assuming you don't overlevel.
