Sadly, I matured to the point of understanding getting emotional online wasn't very smart by the time the internet was pervasive enough to finally get an internet connection for a reasonable buy-in but you kids exposed to it from birth didn't get that grace period of offline maturation, thus project your own experiences onto people. We both started with Gen 1, but I was 15 when I played in '99, you clearly and obviously weren't my generation of humans, which is why you're crying about having to play a video game to experience the mechanics of a video game.
Shit, I don't bitch about running out of ammo in BL3, by the very nature of the gameplay, it's on you for not restocking your shit. But sure, cry about having to travel ALL the way to one the many crystals dotted around the map or the healing centres because every other gimmick allowed you continuous use (only they didn't, you needed the Mega stone or Z-Crystal to use the first two [including needing to earn Z-Crystals] or were locked to Gym battles or specific areas of one section of the region, while Tera orbs work from the minute you get handed one). I understand someone so young would not have a similar exposure to Pokémon and the gaming industry as a whole, but the whole point of forcing you to recharge your orb is a gameplay concession, like how they force you to charge a Tera orb in a raid REGARDLESS if your overworld Orb is charged or not because it would break the gameplay loop of the raid by allowing you to Tera turn-one.
