>>57643782If Gen 10 is what the tera leaks describe, an island hopping expedition, I'm already apprehensive, probably more apprehensive than I've ever been about a prospective new gen. A way to save it, for me at least, is if they implement some form of scaling or region-wide progress-gated escalation (if that makes sense). This would mean things like:
>Leader/boss trainer teams change based on how many badges/whatever you have>Some trainers won't fight you until you get x amount of badges >Change encounter tables based on your progress Z-A looks like it's making the baby steps towards that, by having the trainers be in a ranking system, presumably having stronger trainers appear the stronger you get. If the wild Pokémon in each area also change as you progress in the game, then they have the foundation of a better open world game, albeit in a smaller area. If you're locked into an area of the city until you reach a certain rank instead, making the encounters and trainers in each area not change at all, then then my whole autistic daydream falls apart, and the game will suck.
If Gen 10 can apply that to a full region, it could be pretty good, the best main series games in a decade imo. Doomer mentality tells me this means it ain't gonna happen, but I can at least hold onto this autistic fantasy until next February.
