Idea for a romhack
>backrooms inspired scenario
>MC ends up in an endless, randomly generated forest
>no signs of civilization, just tall trees everywhere
>just you, your party of 6 or less pokemon, and whatever you have in your bag
>you can gather whatever the forest has to offer, craft survival tier items and establish a secret base as your retreat and new home
>there are would pokemon you can battle and catch...
>...or from which you have to defend yourself
>each battle is now a risk, as you cannot heal easily anymore: No pokecenters and you can run low on healing items
>you may find out soon enough that there's something worse than "fainting"
>over time, you get used to this placed and get better at surviving, even able to substitute crucial consumable items with your crafted goods
>yet, escaping this place is becoming is still high priority, as being alone with your pokemon brings you closer to insanity with each passing day
>also because you realize there's something scary out there in the forest, much worse than those wild Starlys and Bidoofs you've met before

In retrospect it feels like weird glitches like these vanished starting with Gen 5 onwards, now modern games have bugs here and there but they’re just unmemorable
