This item alone makes GF look like a bunch of idiots when they try to convince you that the pokemon world is a perfect utopia and people don't eat pokemon, when they actually do.
There's Gen2 where the game tells you it's a bad thing because Team Rocket does it. Then you have the later gens where it's treated as ordinary food (you can order it in an restaurant in Gen6 and buy it as food in Gen8).
What makes it even more interesting is that they never deny any of this and instead back it up with Slowpoke tails just "falling off" (SM dex entry).
