The first shiny I ever encountered was a shiny Tentacruel in Crystal while training near the Whirl Islands. However I didn't realize until after that it was a shiny and killed it. The first shiny I caught was a shiny Nidorina in LeafGreen.

Purple Shuckle in Silver from the green haired dude in Cianwood
Gave it back to him because I felt bad when he called me a liar
I thought it was a guaranteed purple Shuckle like for the Gyarados and I felt dumb when he gave me a regular Shuckle the next time I started a save

After that nothing until a shiny Gloom in Pearl post-game area 7 years later

When I was a kid in Gen 2 era I had a friend at school who claimed he had a different colored Butterfree in Silver
He was not allowed by his mom to bring his game at school (unlike the rest of our friends group) so I accused him of bullshitting and it got him butthurt everytime
None of us even knew shinies were a thing besides the red gyarados

You aren't going to believe me.
If you need proof, I still have the Pokémon Black cartridge it's on. I found it at Village Bridge in 2013, level 70. You can't make this shit up.

When I was like 6 I always used to start a new FireRed save after playing a good portion of the game for whatever reason, so one night I got a golden Charmander. I showed my brother and he told me it was rare, so I felt really cool, but I eventually started a new save as always and as you can assume I never got it again.

That’s ridiculously rare anon, now you have to show it off.
When I was young I managed to find and catch a regular Lapras at level 70 and thought that was the coolest thing ever.

That is a really cool one.
I tried hard to get a wild Shiny Magikarp from that pond that only had Magikarp from level 1 to 100. I was hoping to get a level 100 wild shiny Magikarp or something wild. I think I caught nearly every Magikarp from level 1 to 100 if I am remembering correctly. I don't know why I did the things I did back then.

first I found was the mandatory Pidgey on Route 1 of Y. I ended up accidentally running from it after it knocked out one of my Pokémon

first one I caught was a Venipede in the same game, same play through, on that one route where the encounters jump out at you from bushes

My first shiny was Snivy in gen 5. Kid me didn't really like the color or even know what a shiny was so he resetted it to play a regular Snivy. I never even completed that gen because I thought the Pokémon were ugly but now many of them are my favorites.

Shiny Shelmet in Pokemon Black 2, when i found it i got really excited because i thought i found one of Ns Pokemon and i didnt even knew what a Shiny was

I DISTINCTLY remember looking at a blueish Electrike during a battle. Thing is, this was before I knew or really cared about shinies. I just remember really observing a blueish Electrike during a battle. I can't remember if I caught it or not.

The second was a shiny Goldeen in Leaf Green Safari Zone. I was fooling around with a GameShark, admittedly, but I distinctly remember not having a shiny code on at the time.

Another was a Shiny Staravia in Pearl. I remember immediately resigning myself to losing it because I knew they learned Whirlwind and I had no good balls at the time.

Gen 5? Nothing.

Gen 6 was a Shellder during a chainfish.

Gen 7 a Caterpie during SOS.

Zigzagoon in Ruby. I wish I had a more memorable experience instead of just randomly running into one so early on. It’s the only shiny Pokémon I found not counting hunting methods being used.

If we exclude the Shiny Gyarados from Heartgold and the Shiny Haxorus from Black 2, I saw my first shiny ever in Pearl, it was a Shiny Zubat, but sadly I had no pokeballs and I couldn't catch it

FR/LG don't have internal batteries so you're good. And in RSE the battery is only for clock based events, the save file is fine even with a dead battery.

I spent all that gen thinking that Shiny Pokémon were just hidden and waiting for you to go there and catch them and not a lucky encounter. I,d go around the town asking other kids if they had found any Shiny mons and where they catch them.
