I know I'm not the first person to bitch about this but I'm doing my first playthrough of Scarlet and I just have to know how did this dumb dumb become champion? I soloed her team with my Scizor.

Her ace Pokémon should have been what she lead with and Kingambit should have been her final Pokémon. It was literally that easy. Also get rid of Gogoat and put anything else there. Give her Charizard or something.

My theory is that they didn't want to make her too hard because you also fight Nemona right after. They probably didn't want two hard battles in a row, and also didn't want to make Nemona's battle feel anticlimactic by being easier than Geeta. So they made Geeta easier instead.
Not that Nemona is partcularly challenging either, but more so than Geeta for sure.

They did that in the DLC rematch with her and yeah, it helps a lot.

I still think there's definitely something fishy about her. You telling me her ace is a Pokémon with a very clear connection to Area Zero and that she "somehow" owns the Indigo Disk (which origin is unknown) that can lead you to the Area Zero Underdepths? I don't trust that bitch.

With years worth of patches it's just an ok game. I can't imagine how much of a mess it was on launch. All things considered the dex is pretty good.

It was basically the same on launch. Only the multiplayer was buggy at the beginning, which has been fixed not too long after launch.
