>>57694922Just cause they're dead doesn't mean they stop being villainous. They functionally abandoned their own son to the point where he had to learn how to cook as a kid just to feed himself. They were warned by the consequences of paradox Pokémon by their very own AI based on their own memory and just waved the warnings off. Sure, they are no Ghetsis since there's arguably also some redeeming qualities to them. But they are absolutely villains.
The other anon already said it, but their story is all about hubris and obsession. Their death makes the story more tragic and impactful because of Arven. If they were still alive, they would just turn it into another Lusamine situation, which simply isn't as interesting and feels even more like "we didn't want to commit to having a villain that's actually evil".
>>57695300Anon, they made it literally impossible to turn the machine off. They implemented a complex system where the machine could only be powered off with their own childhood copy of the book, something that only a handful of people have access to. Only Arven and themselves, really. AND they implemented a defense program that fights whoever tries to interfer with it with 6 extremely dangerous Pokémon. And even THAT doesn't allow anyone to fully turn the machine off. They made sure it's basically impossible to be turned off. All that after they were warned by their own AI. They were fucking crazy.
>one of the creatures he was studying killed him and there was no one around to turn it off when he died. First of all, they died because they threw themselves in front of the bikemon when the other Raidon attacked it, which is again a result of their hubris and obsession. Secondly, see above.
>>57695430>stated nowhere in the gameStarting to think you haven't fucking played the game my dude.
>Their very existence brings destruction to the ecological balance of this current age. The original professor would say that such destruction is a natural part of life.
