Which Mystery Dungeon game is the hardest and why?

I've played all except for Adventure Squad and I think Explorers is the hardest due to many of the early game dungeons just being straight up annoying (Spinarak spamming String Shot, Starly spamming Quick Attack etc.), the side stories in Sky were pretty hard with Sunflora's being absurdly brutal.

None of the others gave me this problem.

Sky, by far. Too many difficulty spikes.
Mt. Bristle with Spinarak, Starly, Nidorino and Nidorina.
Apple Woods due to status spamming Oddish and String Shot spamming Caterpie and Weedle.
Foggy Forest because Max Power Frustration from Buneary hits like a truck.
Amp Plains because traps are spammed, paralysis shenanigans and Fury Attacking Dodrio. Plus it's the first boss fight where you're severely outnumbered.
Quicksand Cave because of the seemingly permanent sandstorms, losts of strong mons, like fucking Tyranitar.
Dark Hill because of the ghost types being able to float over the walls, spamming Spite and Hypnosis.
Brine Cave because the boss is surprisingly hard.
Hidden Land because, no matter who your starter is, there's at least one mon that will resist you. Majority of them are bulky enough to tank Grovyle's attacks and can typically hit him super effectively. Plus Abomasnow constantly spamming hail.
Temporal Tower due to the Porygon line spamming Discharge and Conversion. Dialga can be hard as I often find him one or two shotting with Roar of Time.
The rest is actually mostly somewhat dependent on who your starter/partner are.
Spacial Rift because the Gligar and Gliscor spamm Guillotine and it always seems to land.The Palkia fight is similar to the Dialga fight.
Dark Crater because Cresselia is retarded. The Pokémon there are strong, you can easily get burned, trap spam and the boss fight is brutal if you don't have Stun Seeds.

Sky for putting you in the future for like, 4 dungeons right? I've heard Red and Blue Rescue Team horror stories of people getting walled at Articuno, though. Never happened to me, though. The earlier dungeons ramp up pretty fast too, and Monster Houses are a common occurrence. Then you have the post-game story, which really punishes just rushing down hallways and brute forcing things. Graduation Exam is 5x harder than Dialga, Shaymin Mountain isn't that hard, Snow Island had some of the longest dungeons up to that point, Manaphy Seas can suck depending on your starters, Aegis Cave LOL, and then the Darkrai Arc has some tough dungeons with the final one featuring the most useless a Legendary has ever been in any of these games.
I've played other Mystery Dungeon games though, and this is actually around the lower end of things. Top of lower end and reaching the middle near the end of it though, BUT

Red and Blue has so many 99f dungeons. Sky has Zero Isle South, Central, and Destiny Tower, but Zero Isle South is the most average 99 stat reset dungeons, while Central is 50 grueling floors but you can bring what you want so High-IQ Palkia strats are encouraged. Destiny Tower is the hardest of the 99f dungeons, but Wish Cave and Purity Forest aren't far off and then you have the Silver Trench, Western Cave, and Joyous Tower. Joyous Tower, what a shitty dungeon. Wow. Red and Blue also has a bunch of other random post game dungeons, but most of them are kinda just nothing. Nothing special about them at all, even Spinda's dungeons in Sky each had something unique about them. So I'd say Red and Blue are the hardest for that, and also a lot of Gen 4 pokemon were actually pretty fucking strong for the explorers format so they helped Sky out when the going got tough. Obviously DX is different and is a lot easier.
The easiest would be GtI. Super casualized even though PMD was a bit casualized before the post-game anyway, but GiT's post-game is LAME.

Ive played Rescue Team Blue, Sky, and Super, and I think it is Sky.
Also I thought special episode 2 was harder than 3, I kept getting one shotted by magnitude.

I found Story 3 harder because I'm stuck with a Sunflora and I'm forced through a dungeon filled with fire types.

There are Slugma in a cutscene but for some reason they don't actually appear in the dungeon. I remembered there being Vulpix of all things, but when I replayed it recently, I realized there wasn't any fire types. I'd still say Sunflora's story is the hardest, with the future one coming in second.

Despite that, it's still the hardest episode by far. The Haunter bosses are borderline impossible, especially the 3v2 at the end. Plus the later portions of the dungeon have poison types like Zubat.

Super. You level up at a snail's pace, the enemy AI is possibly at the peak of its intelligence for this series, the basic attack is absolutely useless, you don't restore HP passively with weather active, item use is heavily incentivised, and bosses sometimes have upgraded forms (e.g. Megas) you have to fight immediately after their regular form.

Fair enough, granted since i played Shiren for a long time PMD seems way easier in comparison once you realize the amount of broken items (and totally useless ones) there is in EOS

I think some people are really sleeping on the fact that Sky mostly allows you to grind as much as you want, and Super doesn't, unless you intentionally faint in story dungeons.
