>>57700758Oh, don't get me wrong, I threw a "this shit is fur babbiers" strop in 2003, but that was as much due to price (GBA was fucking expensive here) as it was the constant reset of the series. By DS days, I'd conceeded it was likely gonna be kiddyshit, but that I was still gonna enjoy it, as I noodled around with Red on game boy in the 4 intervening years between Gen 3 and getting a DS and Diamond.
I will say, seeing the Gen 3 shit in Gen 4, on a better screen and skipping the portable SNES did help. They still looked like they fit in alongside the others, so they were in fact pokémon.
