I knew it existed as a kid but I don't think I ever had any particular desire to go. I'm not gonna pretend I had great taste at like 6 so it wasn't a quality thing, but I think I was just more interested in the anime and games over seeing real people dressed as the characters.

Even now I haven't bothered to look up the plot/music and all I know is Mecha Mewtwo + this >>57703807

I knew it existed as well, but none of the shows were near where I lived. I'm not a fan of musicals, so I feel I didn't miss out, however, I would've watched it on TV had it aired as planned out of curiosity since it's Pokémon.

There's not much to it, Giovanni is using the challenge he issued to battle strong trainers with mechamewtwo so it can learn all the moves and become the strongest pokemon, Ash and friends get dragged into it, some Team Rocket shenanigans, Ash's mom having a past with Giovanni is shoehorned in, Ash and pikachu win and save everyone, the end. And the songs are just the ones from the anime dub.

strange enough, I read a fanfic adaptation on this play that shoehorned Delia/Oak ship. it's enough to let me know that it's bullshit, but make it intriguing that TPCi make their own Plays.
