>>57729156Conclusion: as you may have noticed, I'm a jpfag, a kantooofag and a modernfag so you are allowed to call me a nigger.
Prices in jpn card shop vary a LOT between shops, not just for the condition (yellow labels), so make sure not to buy everything in the first shop you visit, or you will regret finding it 30% cheaper in the next shop, BUT if you see a good deal take it or the next neckbeard will steal it immediately. I hesitated on some cards and the next day they were already gone and I had to pay a higher price from another shop.
The yellow labels are a godsend, you get immense discounts on some big chase cards and vintage stuff, and if you don't care about grading, the damage on those cards 99% of the time is barely noticeable. Half of what I bought was yellow label, and only 2 cards had a visible sign, albeit tiny. The rest was maybe a single dot of whitening on an edge? Off-centering? Dunno, but compared to the bullshit that passes as "near mint" on cardmarket and tgcplayer they looked like PSA10.
Final note: japanese shops are as nigger as americans: everything Rocket was only in private shops at 5xMSRP. In particular, I visited one of those random shops on the 4th floor of some random building, and there were 2 guys with dozens of rocket boxes, counting the packs and making packages. I asked if they would sell me some packs, but they told me they were all reserved for shipping overseas, for (You) paypigs willing to overspend way more than any local customer. I hate this hobby.
