Is there a better way to get shinies without the pokeradar.
This shit breaks of you look at it wrong and the sparkles are barley visible.
Im trying to get a shiny ralts and it litteraly never fucking works

You're in gen 4, you can pretty easily do RNG manipulation with 2 Chatots

You wanna do it legit? Use the Poke radar.

Wanna do it ambiguously legit, as in you aren't modifying your game but are still working for it/playing a game? RNG manipulate it. You'll need your PID and your SID, so you'll need a shiny Pokemon. Either manipulate those from the start or get one via Poke radar (ironic, I know) and find it from there. Then use Pokefinder, Eon Timer, and specific date/time setups, along with two Chatot with customized Chatters to make advancements.

Wanna just cut to the chase? Use PKHex. But you aren't playing a game this way.

You could always swap over to masuda method breeding, there's still dns servers to trade for a pokemon from another region/language and if you're having trouble noticing the radar sparkles then you might have more luck with the more passive process.

I'm a simple man. I'm not playing VGC and I don't want to spend hours hunting down a palette swap, and I never wanted to take the time to learn how the radar works. Just use PKHeX.

Just inject or look into RNG manipulation. Doing shiny eggs is piss easy, getting good IVs on them is much more tedious but still very doable. I heard it’s easier in HGSS due to no advancing NPCs, but I haven’t tried there yet.
I rngd this Gible with perfect stats recently and it wasn’t too bad, I remember Emerald being a lot more annoying for breeding but it’s been a few years since I tried.

I should also mention D/P doesn’t have a stats judge or hidden power NPC so verifying your hatched Pokemon is a lot worse in those games if you wanted good stats. Platinum and HGSS are better
