>>57720413This. Despite people desperately trying to shill it, Digimon Survive is horrible. It's a plodding borefest in both its story and its infrequent moments of gameplay, and the characters take genre blindness to a BREATHTAKINGLY retarded level. My friend who was streaming it and I also hated the old man being thrown off a cliff. I know he returns with his partner later, but at the time, when you don't know that, it gives off a strong impression of, "Oh, we're not gonna let stinky old people have Digimon. You kidding me?", which just left a bad taste, especially in comparison to Pokemon.
And THEN there was Shuuji, whose viscerally unpleasantness was SO extreme that it made us give up on the game before we even got to the point where he spergs out so hard that he manages to get his stupid ass eaten by his own Digimon. He even got us memeing "snuggle your Digimon, Shuuji!" (spoken with the same cadence as, "get in the mech, Shinji!"), which wound up being the only thing we found memorable about the game at all. I've kept a "things that are apparently easier to snuggle than Lopmon" folder to this day, just as one final dunk on the fucker and Digimon Survive in general.
Seriously. Fuck Digimon Survive.
