The whole studio was shaped in Tajri's image, which is why despite 30-odd years of existence and 29 years of Pokémon, they're still happily shitting out games aimed at children, albeit acknowledging their adult audience far better than in the past (QoL updates, mints, vits and ability patches/capsules, easier shiny hunting, etc), still happily working as a smaller, leaner studio, with staff having two or more disciplines they can work across, to keep the ethos of "10 people in an apartment making a passion project" and not just another "job in the video game industry with deadlines and bullshit" (Game Freak buck the Japanese industry trends, offering 4 weeks paid holiday, all public holidays off, no mandatory weekend hours, even were doing working from home before covid made it ubiquitous) despite having deadlines and bullshit, like designers having to make progression events, as programmers were trying to get the national dex working in the battle scenarios correctly, or needing to delete half the planned content, to even finish the game (SM and XY respectively).
