Do you EV train your Pokemon in the older games for Battle facilities and such, or do you cheat in a good team?

only played competitively in gens 3-4 and i always pokegen'd my teams. trash bytes were easy to get rid of then, idk how itnis now. never enjoyed the ev/iv grind, but breeding chains, then trading for particular tutors before palpark was initially kind of fun.

I catch the pokemon I want to use and then alter their IVs, Poke Balls, Shinyness, Nature and EVs (eventually) using pkHeX.
None of these mechanics are fun to engage with legitimately, so I bypass the tedium when possible.

I've done it several times. Aside from IV breeding. I find the mon building process to be a bonding and rewarding experience with the creature.
