Guys, PBR and a Wii totals about 130 dollars. I'm excited to pit my gen 4 team against those guys. How does the team import system work? I don't want my pokemon to be stuck in PBR

There's no transfer so to speak, it basically takes a snapshot of what's in your party and boxes at the time. Important to note that you can't change anything without re-syncing, so make sure your spreads/items are exactly what you want

Interesting. Does Pokemon Ranch work in a similar fashion? I played Pearl recently and caught every shitmon I encountered just for Haley's Mew lol.

No, Ranch is a storage app like Bank and Home. When you deposit Pokemon, they won't be in your game anymore unless withdrawn. Gotta drop all of them manually.
