Also the gen 8 MC wears a skirt, that's a pretty big plus if you look at sex appeal alone. Further, there is not a single *young* character wearing a dress in gen 9 iirc. Just pointing that out because you named Marnie, but there's a reason why she's so popular.
Don't get me wrong anon, I really like gen 9 and its characters, but I can't deny that it's very apparent that they tried to toned down the sex appeal, at least visually.
