Wouldn't it be better to count how long the cutscenes themselves are? Just because USUM has a tutorial 2 hours into the game doesn't mean the game has a 2-hour long tutorial

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has a forced tutorial where a Unovan npc teaches you about Secret bases. It happens on route 111 after you beat Wattson (3rd badge).

Really? I've never really felt it in BW since the game felt so fast (maybe because of the engine?). Like the other anon said, I feel Platinum was a worse offender which was made even worse by the fact that the entire generation felt slow in general even with setting the text speed to fast.

That's how 2d sprite games are. The 3d games forces you to see the long winded friendly rival/professor/champion animations in addition to their walls of text

ORAS was when it first grated on me, but that's largely due to their inclusion as a remake. SM/USUM is where it really damaged the experience.

IIRC they toned it down in SWSH somewhat, and I didn't get very far in SV before dropping it for unrelated reasons (largely motion sickness)

Interesting. So the real XY tutorial ending is at 1:34. This puts it up above the random BW2 spots you chose for no reason. That's so depressing for you.
