>>57785195he isn't better than hau, he's a totally different character. he may act a lot like hau, but his character motivations and story arc are a lot more similar to bianca. hau does have a story purpose but he's 90% there to be a character foil to gladion, since besides their core motivations, what really seems to be the primary focus of the two is that they're the two basic rival archetypes in the series played up to bounce off each other for laughs, because SM is a funny game. it's not that i love hop so much as i see what they wanted to go for and i respect it. he has his hollow dream, he recognizes he can't reach to it, and he looks to do something actually fulfilling instead. like i said, ultimately he's more like bianca.
