Did they do anything better than any other game? Honestly asking- I actually boycotted the titles and have no interest in playing them when SV seems like an upgrade in every aspect.

Best regional dex since generation 3 objectively. Also had the best VGC scene of ALL time.

Gyms and online battles being in massive stadiums felt great, that's about it. Wild area was cool at the time, but it was basically the beta test for PLA/SV so it's not too impressive anymore.

Also the Crown Tundra is the best post game content since Generation 5, and still is even after both DLCs for S/V released

One of the worst starter trios? Rillaboom to this day is raping both SMOGON and VGC formats, and Cinderace is a niche pick in early Gen 9 VGC. Inteleon I can kinda agree with, but his Gigantamax form is the best out of the three.

I'd say this if it had more polish and actually challenging battles. I'd say it was done better Stadium, Colosseum, and Battle Revolution.

Leon's greedy ass gets to do all the shit you should be doing fighting rampaging dynamax pokemon and shit meanwhile all you do is gym battles and team yell nonsense not even cool nonsense just >team yell is harassing some guy or team yell is blocking the road.
That'd be fine if team yell did anything else but that's all they do, they don't steal pokemon or cause problems for anyone but me just something off the beaten path. If game freak wants me to just do gym battles maybe have some pre gym stuff that isn't just talking to sonia or hop like helping Milo herd wooloo or modeling clothes for opal or something anything that isn't hop stopping to talk to you or Sonia dragging you to a museum

No, it's not fun at all, but it is quick at 1/100 odds and those odds work out eventually. Or so I'm told, my experience has been way over odds on the shitmons and better than average on the specific legendary I'm hunting.
Nothing else has been good in gen 8.

It's pretty quick anon. Some hunts may take me a couple days, perhaps 2 hrs a day, but it's not slow. Faster than SR for sure.
Average for me has been 3 legendaries in 2 weeks.

Now obviously, doing 100 runs is not a guarantee. Once you've seen the legendary 100 times, you have 63% chance of having seen it by then.
300 encounters is 95% chance to have seen it then.

What does this even mean?
The base SV game has easily more content than SwSh. The cutscenes and interruptions in gen 8 account for several HOURS of its play time. SwSh were a barren wasteland as there's only the gyms to do and the story is presented so annoyingly that it's a detriment to enjoying the game.
On the other hand
>SV has 3 different stories for the player
>8 Gyms
>Starfall
>Titan Pokemon
>culminates in an actual post game area

Idk how anyone genuinely likes SWSH unless these were your first Pokemon games. They are some of the most unfun and obnoxious games to play.

The only good thing I can say about it is that it looks pretty and some of the new mons looked pretty good.

True, literally all you can do in SV is shiny hunt aside from FOMO raids and PVP, which you require SWSH, its DLCs, PLA, and SV's DLCs in order to get into because everyone's using meta mons from all games combined.

True, Tera is less strategic than Dynamax, which affects ALL of a Pokemon's moves rather than only changing its type and boosting STAB.

Extremely true, killing singular NPC trainer designs was a mistake.

True, not a single location from Paldea is memorable whereas Galar has locations people liked, even within the Wild Area.

Ironically, SV wanted to be SWSH so hard by stealing its Gym Leader chants, but completely fucked up in making them sound good, or making sense in-universe.

It happened in the DLC, Leon was the first to complete Mustard's challenge, and he chose Charmander as his starter, so only Squirtle and Bulbasaur are available to choose from.
